Learn Lexi one step at a time.

Short, numbered walkthroughs for the settings and habits that matter most: your shortcut, connecting Gmail or Outlook, approvals, memory and the activity log.

Set your keyboard shortcut and use push-to-talk.

Pick the shortcut that brings Lexi up, then hold it to talk.

  1. Open Lexi and go to Settings.

  2. Select Shortcut. Your current shortcut is shown.

  3. Select the shortcut field and press the keys you want. Choose a combination no other app uses.

  4. If your computer says the shortcut is already taken, pick another one.

  5. Select Save.

  6. Press your shortcut once. Lexi comes up over whatever app you are using. Press it again, or press Escape, to put Lexi away.

  7. To talk, hold your shortcut and speak your request. Lexi listens only while you hold it.

  8. Release when you finish. Lexi shows the words it heard so you can check them.

  9. Review the plan and approve if needed.

  10. Prefer typing? Press your shortcut once and type in the panel. You can also click the Lexi icon at the edge of your screen.

On macOS: the shortcut field says Press your shortcut, then records Option and Space. You save it and press it once to try it.

Done when: pressing your shortcut brings Lexi up, and holding it lets you speak a request that Lexi shows back to you.
