Practical guides for the work Lexi helps with most: meetings, email, scheduling, research, files and the everyday tasks in between. Each one has requests to try, what to expect, and what Lexi asks you to approve.
Meetings.
Get a brief before each meeting and a summary with action items after.
Walk into your next meeting prepared. Lexi can pull together the context you need before a meeting, then help you wrap up afterwards.
What to expect
Lexi checks the meeting details on your calendar, reviews the files and threads you have selected, and assembles a short brief. The brief covers meeting details, relevant material, recent decisions and questions to consider. After the meeting, Lexi turns your notes into a clean summary with action items, and flags owners and dates that still need confirming.
Tips
- Name the meeting or give the time, so Lexi finds the right event.
- Share the documents and threads that matter. Lexi works only from what you provide and what your connected apps allow.
- Paste rough notes. Lexi does not need them tidy.
- Ask for a shorter or longer brief if the first one misses the mark.
Requests to try
“Help me prepare for my 2 p.m. project review.”
“Turn my notes from the kickoff into a summary and action items.”
“What did we decide last time we met about the launch plan?”
“Draft three questions I should ask in tomorrow's budget meeting.”
“Write a follow-up message listing what each person agreed to do.”
Email.
Find the thread, understand it, and draft a reply you review before sending.
Make room in your inbox for the work that matters. Lexi helps you find the thread, understand it and draft a response. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
What to expect
Lexi searches the mailbox you connected, finds the relevant thread and reads it for context. It drafts a reply in your tone and flags details worth verifying, such as dates or attachments. You get the thread, the suggested reply and a Send action for you to review.
Tips
- Say who the email is from, or what it is about. One detail is enough.
- Tell Lexi the tone you want: brief, warm, formal.
- Edit the draft directly. Lexi can remember the preferences you approve, so drafts sound more like you over time.
- Ask for a follow-up reminder when you send something that needs an answer.
Requests to try
“Find the latest update from Priya and draft a reply confirming next steps.”
“Summarize my inbox from this morning.”
“Which emails are waiting on a reply from me?”
“Draft a polite decline to this invitation.”
“Remind me to follow up with Sam on Friday if he has not replied.”
Scheduling.
Find a time that works for everyone and get the invitation ready.
Find a time. Get the details ready. Lexi can use the calendar access you provide to suggest times and prepare the invitation.
What to expect
Lexi compares the availability you have shared, suggests times that work and prepares an invitation with attendees, title and notes. You see the suggested times, the attendee list and the invitation draft before anything is sent. Each morning, Lexi can also give you a daily agenda.
Tips
- Give a rough window, such as "next week" or "before Friday".
- Include the length of the meeting and who must attend.
- Mention any buffer you like between meetings.
- Connect the calendar you actually use. Lexi can only see availability you allow.
Requests to try
“Find 30 minutes with Alex and Jordan next week to review the launch plan.”
“What does my day look like tomorrow?”
“Move my Thursday check-in to the afternoon and draft a note to the group.”
“Block two hours on Wednesday for focused writing.”
“Find a slot before Friday for a call with Maria, and include a video link.”
Research.
Get a clearer view of the question, with sources you can check.
Start with a clearer view of the question. Lexi can look things up, compare options and summarize material you provide. Every result shows its sources.
What to expect
Lexi gathers information on each option, lays it out side by side and summarizes the trade-offs. You get key findings, a comparison, the sources it used and open questions that need your judgment.
Tips
- State the decision you are making. A comparison for choosing a tool differs from one for a presentation.
- Say who the audience is and how long the summary should be.
- Open the sources for anything important. Lexi shows them so you can check.
- Share your own documents to ground the research in your situation.
Requests to try
“Compare these three project tools and summarize the trade-offs for our team.”
“Summarize this report in five bullet points.”
“What are the main differences between these two vendor contracts?”
“Find recent reporting on this topic and list the key points.”
“Give me a short background on this company before my call.”
Files and documents.
Find the right file and turn it into a useful first draft.
Find the right material and turn it into a useful first draft. Lexi can locate, summarize, organize and draft from the files you make available.
What to expect
Lexi locates the file among those you have made available, pulls out what matters and drafts the result. You see the source file, the summary, the draft and any changes to review.
Tips
- Name the file, the folder or a few words from the title.
- Tell Lexi the format you want: one page, a bulleted list, a table.
- Ask for a new document rather than edits to the original when you want to keep the source untouched.
- Share only what the task needs.
Requests to try
“Find the latest project brief and make a one-page status summary.”
“Summarize this document and list the decisions it asks for.”
“Draft a project update from these notes.”
“Sort the files in my Downloads folder by project.”
“Which of these contracts mention renewal terms?”
Everyday tasks.
Take the small tasks off your mental list.
Take the small tasks off your mental list. From organizing information to preparing follow-ups, Lexi helps with the work that breaks your focus into pieces.
What to expect
Lexi organizes what you share, prepares a draft list or plan and shows it to you. You may see action items, owners and dates to confirm, a plan for tomorrow and open questions. Adjust anything before you save it.
Tips
- Paste messy notes as they are. Lexi will sort them out.
- Give deadlines, even rough ones. Plans improve with real constraints.
- Ask Lexi to keep a standing preference, such as "put the most urgent item first", and approve it as a memory.
- Check dates and owners before you rely on them.
Requests to try
“Turn these notes into action items.”
“Help me plan tomorrow around my deadlines.”
“Collect the open questions in this document.”
“Remind me at 4 p.m. to send the invoice.”
“Make a checklist for onboarding a new client.”
“Draft a short status update for my manager from my notes.”
